Your Snowflake purchase, planned around your outcomes.
We help you choose the right starting point on Snowflake, handle the licence, and deliver the platform with the same team. You get to value sooner, with commercial terms that reflect your commitment and a clear plan for growth.
What Datalab brings to your Snowflake purchase.
A starting point that fits
We model your workloads and priority use cases before you buy, so your edition, region and capacity match what you want in year one, and leave room to scale.
Clear commercial guidance
We walk you through how Snowflake pricing and capacity options work, and coordinate with Snowflake's account team so your agreement reflects your plans.
Faster time to value
Your proposal comes with a delivery plan and a team ready to start, so your first use cases go live sooner after signature, not months into onboarding.
Confidence as you grow
We set up cost visibility, resource monitors and usage reporting from day one, so finance can see what drives consumption as your data team expands.
One partner, clearly structured
Your Snowflake licence is contracted through Datalab's UK entity, an authorised reseller. Planning, delivery and support all come from our South African team, in your time zone.
Terms shaped around your commitment
Multi-year and ramped commitments open up better commercial terms, and larger agreements can include funded implementation or platform reviews as part of the deal.
One team, from purchase to production.
We're an authorised Snowflake reseller and South Africa's only Snowflake Elite Partner. The engineers who plan your Snowflake investment are the engineers who build on it, so there's no handoff and no repeated briefings, and one team is accountable for the result.
We work alongside Snowflake's account team throughout. You get Snowflake's platform and roadmap, with a local partner focused on putting it to work in your business.

Commercial terms that reflect your commitment.
Every Snowflake purchase through Datalab is priced for your account. We look at your expected consumption, contract term and growth plans, and structure a proposal around them.
Multi-year commitments
Longer terms give us more room to improve your commercial position across the life of the contract.
Ramped capacity
Commitments can be phased to match how your usage will grow, so year one reflects year one.
Funded delivery
Depending on the size of your commitment, part of the value can come as funded implementation, onboarding or platform reviews.
The same Snowflake pricing model, with a partner beside you.
Snowflake uses one consumption-based model wherever you buy it: compute in credits, storage billed separately. Credits are only consumed while a warehouse is actively running a query, it auto-suspends when idle, so you're not paying for capacity sitting there unused. Buying through Datalab keeps the same pricing model, what you add is a team that helps you plan capacity, delivers the platform and supports you as it grows.
Core Snowflake functionality.
Adds time travel, multi-cluster warehouses and column-level security.
Adds enhanced encryption, compliance support and database failover for regulated industries.
Your proposal includes an indicative cost with a rand equivalent for budgeting. The final invoice is issued by Datalab UK, currency confirmed in your proposal.
Get a ballpark before your proposal.
This is a rough, indicative monthly estimate to help frame the conversation, not a quote. Actual pricing depends on your edition, region, currency and any negotiated commitment.
You only spend credits while a warehouse is actually running a query, Snowflake auto-suspends it when idle, so this should reflect actual usage hours, not hours available.
Estimated Snowflake cost, per month
≈ R0
- Compute credits$0
- Storage$0
Indicative monthly estimate only, based on typical on-demand list pricing and what you tell us you spend today. The rand figure is approximate and moves with the exchange rate. Your actual price depends on edition, region, currency and any negotiated commitment.
Plan the next phase of your platform.
As your platform matures, your needs change: new data sources, more teams on self-service, or AI with Snowflake Cortex and Snowflake Intelligence. We'll review how you're using Snowflake today and recommend where it can take you next, starting with what your current spend is actually buying you.
- Cost optimisation: a review of existing workloads for credit and warehouse-sizing savings, done before you recontract, not after
- A capacity plan that supports your roadmap, not just this year's workload
- Configuration and governance that keeps growth efficient as more teams come on
- New workloads scoped: self-service rollout, additional data sources, AI with Cortex and Snowflake Intelligence
