Snowflake chapter leader Douglas Day will be speaking at the inaugural Edinburgh Snowflake User Group meetup on Wednesday 10 June 2026, hosted at Blend on Castle Street in Edinburgh.

The event marks the launch of a new Snowflake community in Scotland, bringing together data engineers, architects, and business leaders for an evening of learning, networking, and community building.

What to expect

The evening runs from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM and includes two technical presentations, pizza, and networking:

  • 6:00 PM: Arrival and introductions
  • 6:30 PM: AI-Native Data Engineering: Building with Cortex AI and Code (Abhi Singh, EY)
  • 7:00 PM: Pizza
  • 7:20 PM: Snowflake Summit recap (Douglas Day, Datalab)
  • 8:00 PM: Networking and wrap-up
